Congress: PDP chieftains accuses Fayose of manipulation

Ado Ekiti — Some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti state have accused Governor Ayo Fayose of allegedly manipulating the list of delegates to vote for the candidates of the party during the forth coming party’s ward congresses.
Former member of the National Assembly, Senator Ayo Arise, speaking on the issue said the move may rub the party of chances of wining the  2015 general elections.
Speaking at his  Oye Ekiti country home yesterday, further accused Fayose of already compiling the list of all the 26 candidates of the party that will vie for the House of Assembly in next year election   without consulting the leaders of the party
Speaking in the same manner,a former  speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon Sola Ajigbolamu, vowed that  the  other affected aspirants would do everything legally to resist the illegality
Reacting to the allegation, the  Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr  Idowu Adelusi,absolved Fayose of alleged manipulating the delegates lists ,saying he,Fayose has not reneged from
his earlier stand, which is free and fair primaries, “Everybody in the party will stand for primaries where the delegates will choose who will represent them. To be a candidate of the Governor does not exclude you from the primaries.
