Xavi hits 143 Champions League appearances

Congratulations to Barcelona’s as 34 years old Barcelona and Spain’s successful midfielder Xavi Hernandez  record 143 Champions League appearances.
Xavi came through La Masia, the Barcelona youth academy, at the age of 11. He made his first-team debut against RCD Mallorca on 18 August 1998. Since then he has played 700 matches, scored 82 goals and made more than 180 assists for over 50 players. Xavi is the first player in FC Barcelona's history to play 150 international matches. This world class payer recently announced his retirement form the national team.
Xavi had become national player first on 15th of November, 2000 along with Carles Puyol. Xavi: “I thank everyone in the team for their attitude and respects to me. I couldn’t wish a better national team career than this. In fact, I was thinking to retire from national team after Euro 2012 but they have convinced me to play in FIFA World Cup 2014 which became a big disappointment for us. Many people had understood that I will finish my national team career after World Cup.”
Spanish player ,who had won Euro 2008 and 2012 and World Cup 2010 titles, had worn Spanish National Team jerseys 133 times and managed to score 13 goals.
