Broad Backing for Air Strikes on ISIS; Less for U.S. Forces as Advisers in Iraq

Seven in 10 Americans support air strikes against Islamic State insurgents in Syria, but far fewer back sending U.S. forces to Iraq as advisers – evidence in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll of the political risks of returning U.S. soldiers to that volatile region.
Fifty-three percent support sending U.S. forces to train Iraqi government troops and coordinate air strikes against Islamic State positions. But that’s comparatively modest in terms of support for military action, and 17 percentage points behind the public’s endorsement of air strikes.

Dallas Ebola patient had contact with children, Texas governor says

Atlanta (CNN) -- Some school-age children have been in contact with the U.S. Ebola patient being treated in Dallas, Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Wednesday.
Five students at four different schools have come into contact with the Ebola patient, Dallas Superintendent Mike Miles added, but none has exhibited symptoms. The children are being monitored at home, and the schools remain open, Miles said. Between 12 and 18 people have been identified as coming into contact with the patient, officials added.
Concern about the possible spread of the killer virus comes less than a day after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that, for the first time, a person with Ebola was diagnosed on American soil.
How that case was handled has sparked many serious questions.
The patient, a man, walked into an emergency room at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas on September 26. A nurse asked him for his travel history while he was in the emergency room, and the patient said he had traveled to Africa, said Dr. Mark Lester, executive vice president of Texas Health Resources.
But that information was not "fully communicated" to the medical team, Lester said.
The man, who had just flown from Liberia to the United States, underwent basic blood tests, but not an Ebola screening, and was sent home with antibiotics, said Dr. Edward Goodman with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.
Two days later, on September 28, the man returned to the facility, where it was determined that he probably had Ebola. He was then isolated. He tested positive for the virus Tuesday, health officials said.
The CDC, which has helped lead the international response to Ebola, advises that all medical facilities should ask patients with symptoms consistent with Ebola for their travel history.
It's possible that others were infected because of the lapse. People who have Ebola are contagious -- but only through contact with infected bodily fluids -- when they display active symptoms of the virus, such as a high fever, severe headache, diarrhea and vomiting, among others. It's not like a cold or the flu, which can be spread before symptoms show up, and it doesn't spread through the air.

Hong Kong students vow stronger protests if leader stays

One of the student leaders, Joshua Wong, addresses the crowds in Central
Student leader Lester Shum said protesters could start occupying government buildings if Mr Leung did not quit by Thursday.
Thousands continue to protest on the streets against China's vetting of candidates for 2017's leadership poll.
Ex-Governor Chris Patten accused China of reneging on its commitments.
The pro-democracy protests continued throughout Wednesday - China's 65th National Day.
As evening fell, thousands of demonstrators remained camped out at the main protest sites in the Central business district, Causeway Bay and Mong Kok, while a fourth site opened on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, a major shopping district several roads south of Mong Kok.
'Resign'
Mr Shum, the vice-secretary of the Hong Kong Federation of Students, said: "We hope that by today or tomorrow [Thursday], Leung Chun-ying will... resign.
"Otherwise, we will announce an escalation of our movement, including occupying or surrounding different government buildings."

Agnes Chow, of the Scholarism student movement, echoed the threat. saying: "If our chief executive and the central government do not respect and listen to our people's opinion, we will consider having different operating actions in future days, including occupying other places like important government offices."
Chan Kin-man, of the pro-democracy Occupy Central movement, which is also taking part in the protests, urged the students to be peaceful.
But he also called on Mr Leung to quit, saying: "We can talk to anyone in the government except him... resign for the sake of Hong Kong."

Ini Edo's Marriage Crashes confirmed removes husband's name from instagram

After five years together, actress Ini Edo's marriage to her US based husband Philip Ehiagwina has crashed. The couple who lived separately for most of their marriage decided to formally split in early August. There are reports that Ini's people have even returned the bride price Philip paid in 2008.

Ini has since removed her husband's name from her social media accounts and she also removed wife from her bio on instagram. Her bio used to read - actress and wife...but wife is no longer there. A source that I spoke with said they have been having problems for quite a while because of trust issues before they decided to finally end their marriage. They have no children together.

“What the devil looks like in person. Lol. You sad little man. You’ve been trying for years to destroy me. It won’t work. Your efforts are flattering. When you look back on your life when it’s that time for you to depart, what can u actually say you’ve accomplished in life? Bringing people down and being the number one source for negativity. Life’s too short homie. Find some sort of happiness. You are a grown ass man. God bless you bruh,”
